NEW FOR 2021 - SHORT FORMAT CLASS
We will be offering an short format class held on the Sunday. This will comprise of a dressage test, for 2021 it will be the BC Pre Novice 2008 Downloadable from https://www.britishcarriagedriving.co.uk/dressage/index.htm, a short cones course (not within the dressage arena) and then 2 of the marathon obstacles driven twice.
Windsor Park Equestrian Club (WPEC) prides itself in being an all inclusive club, running under British Carriagedriving (BC) rules (www.britishcarriagedriving.co.uk).
There are classes for everyone from beginners to international competitors. Members and non-members are welcome to compete in single, pair, tandem or team classes in the picturesque Deer Park within Windsor Great Park.
Most of our events are run over two days, the first day (Saturday) we hold the dressage and cones sections of the event and on the Sunday, we run the Marathon phase. Competitors can choose to enter the phases individually or combined.
The marathon route takes competitors throughout the deer park and into other areas within the Great Park, we are privileged that some areas we can use on the marathon course are private areas not open to the general public, allowing our competitors views of the Great Park not usually accessible.
For non-competitive carriage drivers WPEC offers a pleasure drive on Marathon day (usually on the Sunday), the course follows the same as the marathon without the obstacles. Pleasure drivers drive the course after the marathon has finished.
For any two day event, competitors can stay on site in the Deer Park from the Friday and for one day events competitors can stay on the Saturday night. Please note that the parking is within the Deer Park where wild deer herds roam.

Before you can compete you must have passed at least B.D.S. Level 1 (1998) or the BC assessment. By appointment we can arrange for an assessment to be conducted on the show ground prior to you beginning your competition. Allow at least 30 minutes for the assessment and bear in mind that if you do not pass you will not be allowed to compete that weekend.

- DO NOT DRIVE UP TO THE OBSTACLES
- DO NOT LET YOUR DOG OFF THE LEAD
- NEVER EVER LET A DOG LOOSE OUT IN THE PARK WHERE YOU THINK NO-ONE WILL SEE – WE WILL!
