Windsor Park Equestrian Club
was formed in 1970 at the behest of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
The first competitions were held in 1971 and consisted of showjumping, ridden dressage and competitive carriage driving.
We run ridden dressage and carriagedriving competitions throughout each summer, unfortunately due to a number of factors, Showjumping was stopped in the early 2000’s.
In 2019 we moved from our previous ground on Smith Lawn to our current location based in the grounds of the Deer Park, Windsor Great Park by kind permission of Her Majesty The Queen.
The venue is unique and uniquely beautiful. Dogs (on leads) and children (and adults) are all welcome to watch the competition and new helpers are always welcome.
DRIVEN DRESSAGE TESTS 2021
We will be using the 2021 dressage tests as set out by British Carriagedriving, apologies for the confusion, we set our schedules before BC issued the new tests.
SHORT FORMAT CLASS – will now use Pre Novice 2008
Windsor Park Equestrian Club (WPEC) prides itself in being an all inclusive club, running under British Carriagedriving (BC) rules. There are classes for everyone from beginners to international competitors. Members and non-members are welcome to compete in single, pair, tandem or team classes in the picturesque Deer Park within Windsor Great Park
We run unaffiliated ridden dressage monthly (Sunday) during the summer under the guidance of the British Dressage (BD) rules. Although we share our dates with the Carriage Driving section of the club, our parking and arenas are away from them.
The aims of the Club are for the enjoyment of equestrian sport, whatever the discipline, and to encourage sportsmanship and fairplay. To provide excellent conditions at an affordable cost and schedule to enable all levels to compete.
